Thanks to Demetrius Smith Sr., we may have the answer to what could be one of the most speculated secrets in R&B. In the book, ‘The Man Behind The Man,’ Smith claims that Kelly got Aaliyah pregnant when she was 15. This is (allegedly) the reason why they were engaged in 1994.
Smith, a member of R. Kelly’s entourage, shares in his tell-all book a conversation he had in regards to the alleged pregnancy. Smith claims that R.Kelly said “I think she’s pregnant,” to which Smith replied, “How you gone marry Aaliyah, Rob.”
No word from the Pied Pipers’ camp as of right now. In fact, there’s no word denying or confirming the information in the book.
