Happy 40th Birthday to the soulful songstress Jill Scott! Born April 4, 1972, the North Philadelphia native and Grammy award winning singer-songwriter is also an actress staring in movies such as Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married and Why Did I Get Married Too.
Debuting her first album Who Is Jill Scott? Words And Sounds Volume 1 in 2000, Scott has had four albums in total and has worked with various artists such as Erykah Badu and Lupe Fiasco.
Contrary to the entertainment side of her she’s also a mother and has her own charity called Blue Babe Foundation which helps minority students pay for college expenses. At 40, Ms. Scott has a lot to be proud of!
