Whitney Houston Was “Deeply Affected” By Damaged Voice

Whitney Houston’s vocal coach and friend, Gary Catona, recently spoke with The Sunday Times Newspaper about Whitney Houston’s devastating realization of her damaged voice. Whitney Houston’s body was found with cocaine in her system when she died and she suffered from years of drug and alcohol abuse.

Catona met Houston in 2005 and he got her voice back to 75 percent. She was not able to get it back completely due to her constant relapses.Gary stated that her attitude and persona changed each time she would get her voice back. “She became more confident, she became who she really was – funny, charming, an intelligent person”.

He also stated “rather than getting her voice back completely…she got caught up in her lifestyle again and she began practicing the habits which were not beneficial to her voice”.
