John Legend has signed on to become the 4th mentor on ABC’s new singing competition reality show “Duets”. He’s taking the place of Lionel Richie. Richie had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts. That leaves John Legend, Robin Thicke, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Nettles as the principle players on the show.
“I’m thrilled to be part of Duets and I’m looking forward to finding an undiscovered gem out there. This is going be a lot of fun,” Legend said in a statement.
Duets premieres May 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
