President Obama will officially kick off his relection campaign with a rally in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday May 5th on the Campus of The Ohio State University. First Lady Michelle Obama will join the president at the rally. Obama’s May 5 rally will be his second visit to OSU in 37 days; the first was an official event to tout his energy policy on March 22.
This year, Obama has made four official visits to Ohio, while Vice President Joe Biden has been in the state three times — twice for official events, and the most-recent time, March 15, for a campaign rally at a United Auto Workers hall in Toledo.
