I’m am so excited to hear the news that Mayor Coleman is trying to take Columbus to a whole nother level?!  HOW you ask, by attempting to bring a NBA team to the cap city!

Our mayor sent a letter to NBA Commissioner David Stern on May 3 expressing that our city would like to be considered to become a home to a team.

“Columbus has demonstrated it has the fan and corporate support to make an NBA franchise successful,” Coleman said in the letter obtained by the Columbus Dispatch. “I hope to continue to engage you and your office about bringing an NBA team to Columbus, and I look forward to our continued dialogue.”

In the letter Mayor Coleman expressed that Nationwide Arena could be the home for the team and that Columbus has already purchased the facility and is ready.

The NBA has responded with news that there are no new teams on the horizon but there is potential because there are some teams looking to relocate!

Would you attend NBA games if we got a team here?
