Zachary Mortenson, a 16-year-old of Seven Mile, was one of the 23 recipients of this year’s Carnegie Metal of Extraordinary Heroism for bravely rescuing a drowning, Dane Sapp, a Miami college student, from Acton Lake in Hueston Woods State Park last June.
