Spike Lee has finally released a trailer for his latest film, “Red Hook Summer.” The movie follows a young black boy as he moves to Red Hook, Brooklyn for the summer to be with his preaching grandfather. The movie comes out on August 10th in New York.

Lee made a statement saying,”From my very first joint back in 1986, She’s Gotta Have It, I have been an independent filmmaker, and even today I still am. I’m elated to join forces with Variance Films for the independent distribution of my new joint Red Hook Summer.”
