The Evening Standard reports that director Julien Temple has tapped music artist Lenny Kravitz to portray Marvin Gaye in an upcoming film about Gaye’s life. Although it’s Kravitz’s first leading role; he’s no stranger to the big screen. He’s been seen in the movies “The Hunger Games” and “Precious”.
Lenny will relive the last few years of Gaye’s life in the film, covering his alcohol addiction and tax evasion while he lived in London in the early 1980s.
