Teddy Pendergrass was an R&B/soul singer and songwriter. Teddy first rose to fame as lead singer of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes in the 1970s before a successful solo career.  Teddy Pendergrass was the soul singer whose husky, potent baritone was a definition of R&B seduction in the 1970s.  Teddy gave us great music such as  Close The Door, Love T.K.O. & more.  The legendary R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass passed away on January 13, 2010 after battling colon cancer. Teddy was 59.
