Everyone is talking about Justin Timberlake’s new song “Suit & Tie.” For his first song in six years, JT enlisted hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z for a feature and super producer Timbaland to helm the track. Fan reactions have been far and wide for the horn-infused number. One fan on Twitter laughed, “Justin Timberlake’s music used to unite all races and creeds. But Suit and Tie is dividing us all. It’s the devil.”

Fans of the soulful track loved that Justin tried a different sound. “This new JT featuring Jay-Z is Smooth,” shared one while others gushed, “It’s good, different and you! Love it!” and “Justin Timberlake’s “Suits & Ties” is fun. It’s refreshing. Jay-Z’s verse is super summery. It makes me just think of summer.”

Others weren’t feeling “Suit & Tie” and some even said it was too similar to the sound of fellow crooner Robin Thicke. “Is Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” a joke? Pass for me,” shared Lo Bosworth of The Hills. “Couldn’t help but like JT’s new single once it hit the chorus, reminds me of Robin Thicke” tweeted someone and one particularly dejected fan shared, “Not even a Jay-Z verse could save Justin Timberlake’s new song. It was an average song with a typical Timbaland beat. Nothing to hype up.”

Overall, people were more supportive of Jay-Z’s verse. Many even felt that Hov saves the entire song. “Okay I listened twice…the only thing I like about Justin Timberlake’s new song is Jay-Z’s verse” and “Was sitting thinking Justin Timberlake’s new song was boring and nothing special, then Jay Z’s verse happened, then it went back to boring,” tweeted fans.
