Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch, is not enthused about Beyonce covering his daughter’s song, “Back To Black,” for “The Great Gatsby” soundtrack.

Speaking with The Daily Mail recently, Winehouse said Beyonce brings nothing to his late daughter’s song, but he appreciates the payout.

“I don’t think she brings anything to it,” Winehouse shared over the weekend.

Adding that he was never asked for permission, Winehouse says “they have got to pay” for the song and for that, he is grateful.

“I wasn’t asked for my permission if they could record it. They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money,” said Winehouse.

It’s unclear what made him really upset about the song and how it was delivered, but he did go to Twitter to say that Beyonce should give a donation to his daughter’s foundation.

“I don’t know this but what if Beyonce gave £100,000 to foundation. Do you know how many kids that would help? Just putting it out there,” said Mitch Winehouse.
