Columbus City Schools recently announced plans to hire 300 people to drive school buses in the district. The school district is expanding its bus routes for the 2013-2014 school year and will be hiring bus drivers as district employees. Free training is available for those without experience who want to drive buses. The training program consists of classroom and behind-the-wheel instructions, preparing bus drivers for the CDL written and road examinations.
Salaries for bus drivers start at $11 per hour.
