A starter for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team is being named as a person of interest after an incident at a local bar early Saturday morning.  The incident reportedly took place at The Sugar Bar 2 on South Front Street.  A woman was reportedly assaulted at the bar.  She states that she did not know the assailant but could identify him.  A police report names Buckeye running back Carlos Hyde as a person of interest.    NO CHARGES HAVE BEEN FILED in this investigation.

UPDATE:

*Ohio State University coach Urban Meyer has officially suspended running back Carlos Hyde pending investigation into the above incident.

*Ohio State all-conference cornerback Bradley Roby was involved in an altercation recently at a Bloomington, Indiana bar. He will not be attending the Big 10 media day.  Further discipline could result pending the outcome of the investigation.

 

*Freshmen football players Marcus Baugh and Tim Gardner also received disciplinary action. Baugh has been suspended from all team activities will sit out the first game of the regular season. Tim Gardner has been sent home and will not be a part of the Ohio State Football team this year due to a pending obstruction of official business charge.
