COLUMBUS, Ohio –

A 5-year-old child was critically injured Wednesday afternoon after being struck by two cars on the near east side of Columbus.

According to Columbus police, the crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Taylor and Mt. Vernon avenues.

The child was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of one of the cars initially took the child to an area hospital. The child was transported by medics to Nationwide Children’s Hospital from there.

Officers are still looking for the second vehicle that was involved. No description of the car was immediately available. SOURCE
