Dublin, Ohio based company Navidea Biopharmaceuticals is paving the way to a new less invasive breast cancer treatment. The company has recently developed an all-new method to target lymph nodes infected by the cancer. Lymphoseek is a dye that lets doctors see specific areas of the body that are being affected by cancer including breast cancer. The dye allows doctors and surgeons to deploy less invasive methods of treatment to target the cancer.
The dye was developed by Dublin, Ohio researchers with the help of a grant from Komen Columbus.
