2013 went out a sad note with the passing of a beloved actor from an all-time television classic. James Avery passed away on New Year’s eve at the age of 65 in Los Angeles. Avery was better know as “Uncle Phil” on the hit television show The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. James Avery starred in numerous television shows throughout the years including Grey’s Anatomy and The Jeffersons. He died from complications after recent open heart surgery.
