Looking for something for the kids to do this week?  Take them to one of the many activities going on this week at the Columbus Metropolitan Libraries.  Sign up for Summer Reading Club online at columbuslibrary.org/summerreadingclub or at any CML location. SRC runs through Saturday, Aug. 2.

Summer Reading Club is a great way to keep your whole family reading over the summer. Kids and teens can earn great prizes while keeping those important reading skills sharp for the start of the next school year. Plus, SRC is fun with more than 1,000 programs and tons of books – and eBooks – to read.

Kids will be front row and center for amazing science demonstrations using simple materials. Then, they’ll get to perform incredible science tricks on their own and learn the science secrets behind everything they see. Ages 7-12.

Mural Madness

Teens will learn about public art and collaboratively create a mural that will be displayed in the branch. Ages 12-17.

Kids build a game from scratch based on an imaginary world of their own invention. Ages 7-12.

May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor: The Hunger Games Tribute Training

This Hunger Games tribute training will help teens develop the physical, critical thinking and reading skills that will help them succeed in the games and in life. They’ll learn camouflage, archery and knot tying, and make a tribute pin. Ages 12-17.
