Josh Gordon

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Josh Gordon’s appeal hearing set for Friday just got a lot more interesting.  Gordon hired attorney Adam Schefter, the same lawyer that helped Richard Sherman from the Seahawks, avoid a four-game suspension for a PED policy violation.

According to Pro Football Talk on NBCSports.com, Gordon landed in Stage III of the program last year for the use of cough syrup that contained codeine. Once in Stage III, a player is there for his whole career and must pass up to 10 drug tests per month.

Gordon has passed at least 70 drug tests.  The one positive test for marijuana was only one nanogram per milliliter above the limit.
