This is such a scary story! Ladies, please pay attention to this…according to ABC 6/ Fox 28, a woman, who was out for a walk on a bike path along the Blacklick Creek Greenway was sexually assaulted and set on fire by a stranger watching her from the bushes, according to Columbus Police.

“We haven’t had anything like this,” said Detective Terry McConnell. “We don’t have any pattern that we’re working from right now.”McConnell told ABC6/FOX28 that the victim was walking on the path for the first time on Wednesday night when she was assaulted about 100 yards into her walk.

“He came out of the bushes, grabbed a hold of her and pulled her into the bushes,” said McConnell. Police said the man then poured some sort of flammable liquid on the victim and used a lighter to set her on fire.

As the attacker stepped back to watch, the woman was able to run away while her clothes were burning. Witnesses came to help her as the man ran down the path. The victim has serious burns, but police said she was expected to survive.

Detectives said the woman described her attacker as white, thin, 30s, bushy eyebrows, clean shaven, wearing a dark hooded-sweatshirt, dark pants and red gloves.
