Mayor Jackson Ebola

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson held a press conference after it was discovered that a nurse from Dallas, Texas traveled to Cleveland during a visit to her family in Akron.

According to airport staff, Amber Vinson, came in on a flight on October 8 and departed on October 13 not October 10 as first reported.  Vinson had come to the area to visit her family in preparation of her wedding.

Director of Port, Ricky Smith reports the Frontier Airplane has been decontaminated twice and is expected to be put back into service to carry passengers to Denver.

Smith says that Vinson did not show any symptoms while at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport but the jet ways, passenger waiting areas and bathrooms are still being disinfected.
