CLEVELAND– The six Cleveland police officers fired for their roles in the 2012 deadly chase and shooting have filed grievances with the city, the FOX 8 I-Team learned on Wednesday.

Cleveland officials, including Mayor Frank Jackson, Police Chief Calvin Williams and Safety Director Michael McGrath, announced on Tuesday that six officers were terminated and six more suspended. The fired officers include Michael Brelo, who was charged and acquitted of manslaughter charges.

City hall officials said it received grievances on Tuesday for the fired Cleveland officers, citing excessive punishment without just cause.
