Former “American Idol” finalist Jennifer Hudson will return to the Fox competition show next week as a featured performer for the results show.
Country music duo Sugarland will also take the stage during the March 24th broadcast, it was announced Friday.
It has also been confirmed that next week’s performance show will see the Top 11 attempting classic Motown tracks.
Hudson appeared on the third season of the Fox competition, and went on to win an Academy Award for her role in “Dreamgirls.” She is currently preparing to release her new album “I Remember Me” later this month.
Meanwhile, a compilation of studio performances from this season’s “American Idol” contestants is available on iTunes now, with profits from downloads being donated to the American Red Cross to aid its work in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami.
