In 2005, a nationally syndicated television show, The Tom Joyner Show, was launched with Joyner as emcee of a one-hour comedy/variety show, combining sketch comedy featuring the Tom Joyner Show Players (his co-hosts from the radio show), talent contests, and musical performances by such artists as Earth, Wind and Fire, Brian McKnight, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Toni Braxton. The show attracted advertisers such as McDonalds, Chrysler Corporation, WalMart and Southwest Airlines. While the program achieved top ratings for a weekly syndicated program themed to African American viewers –even taking the number one show position although it was in a late night time slot– in such markets as New York and Atlanta, affiliates in other markets were reluctant to upgrade the show to prime time for a targeted audience.[citation needed] Without the opportunity to reach a larger audience in earlier time slots and achieve greater revenues, the show had limited ability to offset the residuals and music clearances required by the many performers appearing on the show. Despite award recognition, in May 2006, Joyner decided not to continue due to production costs related to the music variety show concept.[citation needed] Re-runs are shown on TV One cable channel.

Born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in nearby Urbana, Ohio Warren Stevens has been a familiar voice to central Ohio listeners since 1992. He began building his radio and television career while in high school at WUHS 91.7 at Urbana High School. Upon graduation from high school; Warren attended Capital University in Bexley, Ohio where he studied speech communications. Capital University provided valuable radio & television experiences. Some of those experiences including working on the student run and produced television show, Skyline Columbus. Capital University also provided some very relevant radio associated experiences as well. They included working as an air-personality at Capital University’s student run radio station and as a public-address announcer for Capital University men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling as well. Warren’s radio experiences have taken him all over central and west central Ohio holding radio employment in: Springfield, Bellefontaine, Dayton and Columbus, Ohio. Warren has worked a variety of timeslots during his tenure in Columbus. They include mid-day personality, morning and afternoon drive as well. Currently he is afternoon drive air – personality on WXMG/ Magic 98.9. His warm friendly demeanor and genuine interest in the central Ohio community are an integral part of every show weekdays from 3pm until 7pm.

Paul Strong has had a passion for Radio over the past 24 years since the age of 17. This married father of 3 girls enjoys every aspect of the Radio business. Throughout his career he has held many positions, from Music Director, Production Director, Program Director, and even Operations Manager. His accomplishments include: * As Program Director having WCKX as a 2003 Finalist for Urban Station of the Year, for the Marconi Radio Awards * In 2005 received recognition for nomination as Urban Program Director/OM of the Year * Is an Honorary Chair of the Ohio Sickle Cell Health Association * On the Board of Directors for The 1st Tee of Columbus, a PGA sanctioned committee focused on introducing the game of Golf to inner city youth.
