R&B superstar Alicia Keys is bringing the fight against HIV and AIDS in South Africa to your living room.  Today is World AIDS day.  TONIGHT at 9pm on Showtime she will premiere her documentary called “Keep A Child Alive”. The documentary details Alicia Keys journey through the South African cities of Johannesburg and Durban.  It also gives an account of how Keys health organization helps the locals there.  The then pregnant Alicia Keys was accompanied by 5 American contest winners.  They made the journey during last summer’s World Cup Soccer Tournament.

Alicia is hopes the  look at issues dominating Africa will encourage fans to lend their support to her Keep a Child Alive charity.

“Even if you never have been able to travel there, or if you never can, that doesn’t mean you can’t travel with us and really see it for yourself,” she told the Associated Press at a premiere for the film last night in New York.  Attendees included U2 front man Bono.
