Mary J. Blige sniffed the sweet smell of success on Wednesday May 25,  2011 after her perfume took two top honours at the prestigious FiFi Awards. The R&B star’s My Life scent was named the Fragrance of the Year in the Direct to Consumer category as well as the Sales Breakthrough Winner at the annual perfume awards celebration in New York.

Blige’s We Got Hood Love collaborator Trey Songz was at the event to hand the thrilled singer her prize. The Grammy Award winner thanked her fans on Twitter tweeting, “I’m so excited to tell my family the My Life fragrance won 2 huge awards at the FiFi’s tonight!!!! Thank you so much!!! Thank you to every one who voted for the fragrance, purchased it and loves it!!!!!”

In addition to fragrance award, Blige is recording material for her tenth album ‘My Life Too, The Journey Continues,’ acting as the lead role in the Nina Simone biopic ‘Nina,’ and co-starring in the ‘Rock of Ages’ film with Tom Cruise.
