One of the top five females presented with the coveted title of EBONY magazine’s Sexiest Singles is Columbus’ own Evita Hudson. Hudson, a graduate of Columbus Northland High School, who is a Health Advocate and freelance promotional model, is amongst a premiere cast of nine other sexy singles from around the country.
“Being sexy isn’t about wearing revealing clothes or acting provocative just to get attention” says Hudson, who appears in the October issue. “Having an ‘air of confidence’ and exuding that in the way you walk, talk, and carry yourself even when no one is looking is what being sexy is all about. But wearing a pair of high heel shoes in the process also doesn’t hurt!”
In July, EBONY began its search to find the Ten Sexiest Singles in the country. Thousands of online applications and video submissions were turned in by very diverse individuals from major metropolitan cities as well as small suburban towns. The editors at EBONY had the painstaking task of sifting through pictures from some of the sexiest people in the country and narrowing their selection down to the top five male and top five female applicants they felt were most deserving of the title.
After submitting additional photos and successfully passing a background check (to make sure the sexy singles were not also sexy criminals), the final ten candidates were contacted with the opportunity of a lifetime–an all-expenses paid trip to South Beach for a photo shoot and interview to be profiled in the highly anticipated Ebony magazine Sexy Singles Issue.
As a single mother of two, Hudson strongly believes that just because you are a mother does not mean that you can’t also be sexy. She has always found the perfect balance between “soccer mom and sexy mom.”
Others selected include a singer, two models, a former NFL cornerback, a radio & television personality, a politician, and a television news reporter.
