Parliament-Funkadelic’s George Clinton has been awarded an honorary doctor of music degree from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Clinton adds the accomplishment to his recent awards as BMI Urban Icon, Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Award from the NAACP Image Awards and more.
Clinton recently held a four-day teaching residency at Boston College prior to receiving his honorary cap and gown. He closed his educational class with a concert, wearing a silver suit covering his artistic catalog from Parliament to Funkadelic to his solo career hits.
