Rebuilding Together Central Ohio and the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation recently came together to provide critical home repairs and modifications for senior homeowners in Columbus, Ohio. More than 100 Lowe’s Heroes employee volunteers gave their time and expertise for this project to further Rebuilding Together’s mission of providing a safe and healthy home for homeowners. The Greater Linden Community Development Corporation and local community volunteers worked alongside Rebuilding Together Central Ohio and the Lowe’s volunteers.
Lowe’s Rebuilding Day took place on Sept. 19, 2012 the day included a volunteer rally. Guest speakers included Reps. Michael Stinziano, Kevin Boyce and Ted Celeste, Ed Roberts, Sen. Sherrod Brown’s Central Ohio Director, and Councilmember Priscilla Tyson. The homes are located on East Blake Avenue.
