Singer Ashanti has just been added to the cast of Lifetime Televsion’s series “Army Wives”. Ashanti will appear in the role of Latasha Durant. Latosha is a mother of three: 11-year-old Quincy Jr. (known as Deuce), daughter Nyah, 8, and Gabe, 6, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis.
Ashanti is one of three new additions to the cast of “Army Wives,” which celebrates a seventh season. The series was renewed in September and is averaging 3.2 million total viewers.
Ashanti’s acting credits also include roles in “John Tucker Must Die” and “Coach Carter.”
