Many have wondered what happened to Lauryn Hill and her bright career. Well, according to Lauryn, it was terrifying threats against her and her family that made here cut the career short.
Lauryn pled guilty to failing to file tax returns for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 in which she earned over $1.8 million. In preparation for her sentencing later this month for tax evasion, she file documents explaining that”when she withdrew from society at large due to what she perceived as manipulation and very real threats to herself and her family.”
Previously Lauryn attributed her disappearance to going underground to get back in touch with her musical roots. The documents may or may not help her with the sentencing scheduled for later this month where she faces several years in prison.
