Mariah released “#Beautiful,” featuring Miguel, this morning, because she loves us and wants us to have the best Monday ever.
(Let’s just all just pretend the hashtag’s not there, okay?)
Mission accomplished.
Miguel takes the front seat for much of the song (which is by no means a bad thing, as he’s amazing), but we do eventually get classic, old-school Mariah soaring vocals, giggles, low-register cooing, and – YES – her trademark whistle notes.
“#Beautiful” is the first single off MC’s upcoming 14th studio album, set for release this summer.
The album will feature collaborations with the likes of R. Kelly (!!), The-Dream, Jermaine Dupri, Hit-Boy, and Mike WiLL Made It.
Mariah will debut the music video for the track this Wednesday during American Idol. But here’s a 26-second teaser to hold you over in the meantime:
