IMAGE: Bill CosbyBill Cosby is coming back to NBC, where his family sitcom, “The Cosby Show,” was a massive 1980s hit. Cosby, 76, will play the patriarch of a multigenerational family, a spokesman for the network confirms.

There is no date or title yet for the show, which will again feature Cosby’s humorous take on parenthood and children. Producer Tom Werner, who worked on “The Cosby Show” with Marcy Carsey, will work with Cosby on the show.

“I want to be able to deliver a wonderful show,” Cosby told Yahoo! TV in November. “There is a viewership out there that wants to see comedy, and warmth, and love, and surprise, and cleverness, without going into the party attitude.”

Cosby said his show would appeal to an audience who “would like to see a married couple that acts like they love each other, warts and all, children who respect the parenting, and the comedy of people who make mistakes. Warmth and forgiveness.” READ MORE
