The U.S.D.A has released a list of 9 possible states that may have received shipments of beef tainted with a serious form of e-coli O 157:H7. The Food Safety Inspection Service recently announced that 1.8 million pounds of ground beef products were being recalled because they could be contaminated with e-coli. The federal agency has since named five retailers that may have received the tainted products. A spokes person from the U.S.D.A says the tainted ground beef is in the process of being removed from store shelves. The list of stores recently released is not final, a FSIS spokesperson said. More establishments will be added as the USDA continues its investigation.
