The DNC just may be on the way 614. According to Fox 28/ ABC 6, just as Columbus was saying to goodbye to the NHL All-Star Game Monday morning, it was saying hello to another important visitor. The chair of the Democratic National Committee was in Columbus a for final convention inspection visit.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz is not only the head of the DNC, she’s also one of a handful who will decide whether Columbus hosts the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
Monday, Wasserman Schultz and other local VIP’s toured Nationwide Arena. The DNC Chair spent about 45 minutes touring the arena where the actual convention would be held.
But she had little to say when approached by ABC 6 except, “Really glad to be in Columbus.” With that, Wasserman Schultz was off to New York and Philadelphia, the other two cities competing for the convention.
A final decision is likely to be made in the next few weeks.
