According to WBNS Jermonte Fletcher, pictured above, was the last alleged member of the “Short North Posse” gang that was still on the run until this morning. Just after 8am Fletcher was shot and killed during a shot out the Columbus Police at the Indian Meadows apartments on Buffalo Court.
Fletcher had been on the run for over a year. Three Columbus Police officers were involved and one was injured. Investigators say Fletcher fired at the officers with a MC-10. The officers were working on behalf of the U.S. Marshalls. The involved officer that was injured got hurt while trying to remove a child from the scene.
