Dear Tom,
I am writing you because me and my girls wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my husband.
On October 27, 2014, at about 1am our house caught on fire and we didn’t know it. It all happened so fast. When my daughter woke us up, there was smoke and then an explosion! I was stuck in the bathroom near the back of house. All I could do was pray while my husband was getting my 13 and 16 year old girls out of the window from which they had to jump.
I was covered by smoke and so was the house. My husband ran through the smoke to find me. He reached out, took my hand and dragged me to the bedroom and helped me to window where I had to also jump.
Terry is our hero. As a result, he had to stay in hospital for treatment. Tom I wouldn’t be able to write this letter if my husband hadn’t acted so fast. Our house burned down and now he has almost nothing. Eventually, we can replace our home, but not our lives. I would love for terry to get some of his favorite things restored.
