WTKR reports a 19-year-old Hampton University student reportedly committed suicide in the school’s on campus library.
Cullen Haviland, who hailed from Temecula, California, was found dead on Friday, March 27, 2015.
The site reports:
Haviland was a second year student who was actually classified as a senior because of his outstanding academic performance and credits he earned through advanced placement.
He was also involved with the National Society of Black Physics Students and the Society of Physics Students.
The school has provided grief counseling for students who may need it.
Officials say no foul play is expected at this time, but it is still early in the investigation.
