Parents! Your child may be in danger of getting “text neck.” According to Fox 28, a teenager immersed in her iPhone has developed a serious condition that more and more doctors are coming across: “text neck.”

14-year-old Sarah Atchison had developed a constant ache in her neck after looking down at her iPhone for hours at a time, she told CNN Newsource affiliate KMGH-TV.

The strain actually reduced the proper curve in her cervical spine. Doctors said in many cases it even moves forward and could cause serious damage.

Some of the symptoms include tension across the shoulder, generalized neck pain, migraines, even numbness and tingling down the arms.
