Columbus city officials are hoping a new police substation will improve response times on the city’s far north side. Plans were unveiled Thursday for a substation next to the Lazelle Woods Recreation Center on Sancus Road. More than 50 officers will work out of the substation when it opens in 2018, serving neighborhoods in the Polaris area.
