Happy First Football NFL Sunday !!! I know that most of you are really excited about this being the first Sunday of football ! My unfolded laundry awaits me to fold it on the couch while watching my favorite teams on the field. Today marks the 15th year anniversary of the tragic 9/11 attacks in New York, PA and the Pentagon prompting memorial services around the country. The ongoing news in the NFL is Colin Kaepernick and his powerful statement at the beginning of games by sitting for the national anthem and inspiring others around the country to do that same. Earlier this week, the Seattle Seahawks expressed their interest in doing the same thing…but kind of different. Rumors were that the whole team would sit for the anthem, but the team says it will stand with arms interlocked to symbolize unity and solidarity. My question is this:
Do you think the Seahawks team is being effective or scared? Is their protest as strong as Kaepernick?
