Reports of Tommy Ford‘s death first surfaced early Wednesday morning after rumors of the actor falling into a coma after a knee surgery.

Over the last couple of weeks, Tommy updated his social media with progress pictures post surgery, but questions about his health rose when several celebrities both sent their condolences and solicitation for prayers.
Anthony Anderson took his Instagram breaking the news that the 52-year-old had died. He has since deleted the tweet and edited the Instagram caption, blaming it on miscommunication.
Most recently actress Terri J. Vaughn took to Twitter to dispel the myth that Tommy had died, but he was indeed sick.
