In the wake of President Donald Trump’s #MuslimBan , Iran will limit issuing visas to American tourists. The Iranian foreign ministry released this statement on Saturday:
“While respecting the American people and distinguishing between them and the hostile policies of the U.S. government, Iran will implement the principle of reciprocity until the offensive U.S. limitations against Iranian nationals are lifted…The restrictions against travel by Muslims to America… are an open affront against the Muslim world and the Iranian nation in particular and will be known as a great gift to extremists.”
Trump signed an executive order barring citizens of seven Muslim countries from entering the US for 90 days and suspends the admission of all refugees for 120 days. On Saturday night a federal judge in New York blocked the deportation of people stranded in US airports and others in transit. Protests outside of JFK International Airport commenced after two Iraqi men and ‘dozens and dozens’ were detained after landing in New York. Protests are scheduled at airports around the nation Sunday in Orlando, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Seattle, Washington and Chicago. HERE is a complete list of banned for immigration.
