Kardashian blames the sun and contrast for the blackface allegations.

Kim Kardashian stepped into another pile of mess when she shared the news of her makeup line #KKWBeauty. The reality star turned business mogul was accused of doing black face while showing off her upcoming contour line.

After catching heat more than praises, Mrs. West went to the New York Times to issue out an apology for any who felt offended.

I would obviously never want to offend anyone. I used an amazing photographer and a team of people. I was really tan when we shot the images, and it might be that the contrast was off. But I showed the image to many people, too many in the business. No one brought that to our attention. No one mentioned it.

When she says “many in the business” clearly there didn’t include black people. She didn’t stop there and went on to say this was a learning lesson for her.

“Of course, I have the utmost respect for why people might feel the way they did. But we made the necessary changes to that photo and the rest of the photos. We saw the problem, and we adapted and changed right away. Definitely, I have learned from it.

Even after the initial photo caused the firestorm she went ahead and added more “corrected” photos from her makeup ad.
