Beckett Grading Services is refusing to verify star quarterback Dak Prescott’s autograph in a card set because it was done by machine. Beckett Services evaluates and values trading cards and saw something interesting when looking at the cards. “They had a very machine-like feel…you could see the starts and stops” Steve Grad, principal authenticator said. With over 10 years experience, Grad said he automatically knew they were manufactured by autopen.” Autopen is a automatic signature mostly used by politicians to sign documents in bulk made popular in the 1950s. On the flip side,  Prescott may have never saw the cards at all, as blank labels to be signed and even cards themselves are often sent to marketing agents first.
