Since the Russia meddling investigation unfolds new information weekly, many people have been blamed for the president’s suspicious doings with Vladimir Putin.

First, President Donald Trump blamed fake news, next it was crooked Hilary Clinton, then, of course, Barack Obama and now they have taken an all new low with their latest claim. Now Donald Trump Jr’s lawyer is saying the Secret Service is to blame for they should have stopped the meeting from happening.

The lawyer, Jay Sekulow, was on Sunday morning shows defending his client for taking a meeting with Russians to get dirt on then election opponent Clinton.

“Well, I wonder why the Secret Service, if this was nefarious, why the Secret Service allowed these people in. The president had Secret Service protection at that point, and that raised a question with me.”

Officials from the Secret Service have come out swinging stating that during the election Trump Jr was not considered a “protectee.”

Donald Trump, Jr. was not a protectee of the USSS in June, 2016. Thus we would not have screened anyone he was meeting with at that time,” a Secret Service spokesman said in a statement to HuffPost.

The Secret Service only has the authority to physically prevent someone from entering a secure space of the president or vice president of the United States. Even if the Secret Service felt someone presented a physical threat to candidate Trump (after screening their name), they could not have stopped him or her from entering Trump Tower if Trump, his family, or his campaign team disregarded the concerns of the Secret Service.

I guess it’s back to the drawing board for the Trump administration to find a new victim for their own doings.
