The Hall of Famer joins many of NBA’s legends and owners attacking back at the president’s ignorant statement.
When the basketball’s GOAT, Michael Jordan speaks, everybody listens. The 6-time champion went on the record to strike back at the president and his words that were “demonizing” athletes rights to peaceful protest.
“Those who exercise the right to peacefully express themselves should not be demonized or ostracized,” Jordan told the Charlottesville Observer.
This comes after the president himself called any athlete that takes a knee during the national anthem is a “son of a b***h.” Jordan wasn’t the only person in the league to issue public statements towards the president.
LeBron James issued another statement on Trump during Monday’s Media Day.
