Oh Steve! Our favorite ratchet talk show host has caught himself a charge. Steve Wilkos has admitted to driving under the influence which caused him to crash his vehicle. Initially, he said that the accident was caused when he was reaching for his glasses but the truth is officially out.
Steve hit several poles and a tree, resulting in some heavy damage to his vehicle. He tried to blame it on being distracted and reaching for his glasses but now admits that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Wilkos blew a .29% blood alcohol level which is considered to be four times the legal limit. Wilkos was charged with driving under the influence and was released after posting a $1500 bond.
Back in January, Wilkos said, “Over the course of my life, I have been struggling with bouts of depression and on the day of my accident, I had a complete lapse in judgment which resulted in me drinking and getting behind the wheel of my car.”
He is due in court on March 8.
