A North Carolina man, Keith King, 48, sued his wife’s lover and was just awarded $8.8 million from the judge after citing an obscure law.

King said. “Every time he knew I was out of town, he would come into town.” When he found out about the affair he called the man and told him to stay away from his wife. The wife eventually moved out and when the husband went by her apartment, guess who was there? The new lover.

North Carolina is one of only six states that allows a jilted spouse to sue for “alienation of affection.” The other 6 states are Hawaii, Illinois, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah.

Remember the same thing happened to Fantasia? The wife of the man she allegedly cheated and had a baby with sued her.
