A few hours after news broke that her husband Les Moonves is resigning from CBS, Julie Chen announced she will be taking a break as a co-host on the network’s The TalkAccording to Deadline, season 9 of the show premiered Monday without Chen, but she will still be hosting Big Brother on Thursday.

“I am taking a few days off from The Talk to be with my family,” Chen said in a statement. “I will be back soon and will see you Thursday night on Big Brother.”

Back in July, Ronan Farrow published a report in the New Yorker where six women accused the CBS CEO of sexual misconduct. Six more women came forward over this past weekend with allegations against Moonves in a follow up article.

Following the first article, Chen released a statement in support of her husband. “I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late ’90s, and I have been married to him for almost 14 years,” she wrote, per Deadline. “Leslie is a good man and a loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader. He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand behind him and his statement.”
